Alan enjoys reading and film, and he paints. An exhibition of his paintings was shown at St Stephen Walbrook in 2016. (Here is a more detailed description). Before moving to the parish in November 2010, he was a vicar in South Hackney for nearly 17 years. Mary was licensed to the Parish in 2009. Previously, she has worked in school and college chaplaincies, as well as in parishes in Northampton and Coventry. She is married to Andrew and they have two sons, Samuel and Jacob. She enjoys cooking, reading commentaries about the gospels and sleeping under canvas in the summer holidays. She works for the parish on a part time basis.
As a young girl in Uganda, Margaret sang in the church choir and also went mountaineering and climbed Mt Elgon. She lived in Germany for six years before moving to the UK in 1987. She has been a school teacher for many years, and enjoys working with children. Margaret enjoys power walking but she is afraid of the dark and creepy crawlies.
